Why would my live in boyfriend's underwear keep disappearing?

When I did the wash today, there wasn't any of his underwear to be washed. When I asked him where all of his underwear are, he avoids the question and says They're around here somewhere " but they aren't here.
You are guys, what's happened to the missing underwear (at least 5 pairs)?

@Guy13 I already mentioned that I asked him and he just said "They're around here somewhere". I looked everywhere and they aren't here! Now he won't talk about it.

I saw that.. to me that’s not a conversation. In fact, that’s someone who really does not want the conversation for some reason. It is a scary thought if other women etc…but even I know…30 minutes eye-eye is needed.
