How do you as guys show your love, or show that you like your S. O?

Just want to know how you guys in general show they love a s. o. is it instantaneous, or slow, depending on how you view relationships, so whether you had a bad relationship or good relationship how would you show?

I think The Five Love Languages are a very helpful tool for answering this question.

I tend to show love using all of them, but Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, and Acts of Service tend to be my top ways of expressing. Quality Time is not far behind, and Gift Giving is probably my weakest point, in both giving and receiving. I don't really ask for or want presents, and have a hard time being genuinely enthused about receiving them. I also have difficulty finding or creating presents for people, even though I really want to give them "the perfect thing", I have no idea what it could be.

Words of Affirmation: I am really good at praising and supporting people, seeing their strengths and honoring them. I like to let people know that I see and appreciate them in ways that they might not realize, and encourage them to keep up the good work.

Physical Touch: I love to caress, massage, hug, kiss, play with hair or many other forms of physical contact and expression of just wanting to stimulate someone and make them feel good. I will massage ear lobes, pop toes, give a little hand massage while standing in line or just hanging out on the couch. I also, like most people, enjoy sex, but I think maybe on a different level as I really like a lot of playing around and taking my time. I've been told many times that my hugs are the best.

Acts of Service: One of my biggest is cooking, but I'm also a handy-jack of all trades type, so I like to find a need that someone has and build or make them something or fix whatever is broken. Some examples like building some short shelving for a short partner, building a bed frame, sewing furniture covers for a partner who loves her furniture, or even just keeping her vehicle in good maintenance.

Quality Time- I don't see this as much as a thing I do for others so much as a shared experience that I enjoy. I really think it's more of an essential thing for a relationship to spend time with the other person. Once you have a strong relationship, you might not need to spend as much time together, but that's because you have a bank of it already and can pick up where you left off.

I don't normally consider myself as a loving (or lovable) person and I actively try my best not to fall for the women in my life because I've reached a point in my life where love and relationships is the last thing that comes to my mind. I won't go into details but all I'll say is that my previous encounters with relationships and love as a whole have all gone south and for the longest time I thought that love wasn't real and everyone's out to screw and use each other. Of course, I don't feel that way anymore, but the damage and trauma, you could say, had a long lasting effect on me and I'm still not fully open to it all.

Regardless, I'm getting off topic here. If God wills it and I do end up getting a significant other, first and foremost, I think I'll be a giver more than a taker in the relationship, probably because I like helping others and doing little things and gestures brings me joy and I don't even think too much on it. Like you could be scrolling pictures of cute cats, gushing over them by yourself and the next day I'll bring a kitten of the same coat or breed and not even think twice about it.
