First, why do you think he doesn't respect you why? Second, why do you feel ignoring him is the best course of action? Third, stop thinking eye contact 'means' something, but usually it doesn't. Finally, he may have 'looked sad' or whatever, but you don't know how he felt, or what he thought at that particular moment. You don't even know if it had anything to do with you. To pretend you do is where girls run into trouble.

How do you know he doesn't respect you? Also he might look sad because he didn't mean to push you away or because he regrets his actions. Could also be that he is just thinking about what to do/say to you.
