My date said “what are you looking at badly” when the guy has passed. I noticed the guy was looking and smiling at me but I just pretended not to notice as it wasn’t important and I imaged he was just being friendly as he was like 30 years my senior

This is kind of a Catch 22 subject for most men. I’ll give you the two most common feelings or thoughts a man has when this happens.
Either outcome will show you where his confidence and insecurity level is.
the first emotion or gut reaction is to do just what your date did. Men are territorial and protectors. And it’s almost a slap in the face. Why on earth would you ever smile at a girl that has clearly found a man she likes to be with. Unless you are intentionally trying to invoke getting your a$$ kicked.
the second choice is one more of pride and confidence. Just smile back and remember who’s hand she’s holding and who’s she’s leaving with. For now. “She’s not yours, it was just your turn.
He should have just smile that the guy says it's pretty hot huh every girl I dated if we were in them all guys would look I would catch the guy I would look over her she would look at me and I would just smile

Well if the girl you are with is getting looks you can feel complemented but if they offer to fight you for her it is a bit much (has happened).
As long as nobody is being rude, I feel neither jealousy or pride. It just doesn’t concern me.
Nah... guys looking at my dates doesn't bother me at all. I probably never notice, honestly.
Chose another great guy I see.
