I do of course care about them! But not that they are ugly or anything like that. I care that a girl who has them is not being shamed about them. Or shaming herself. Personally I really love the whole tattooed scares thing that has been coming out more where girls that have stretch marks will get them tattooed some rainbow colors or something so it is a beautiful mark for her.
Stretch mark on one who is thin is fine. SM on overweight people projects gluttonous and/or lazy personality. Thinner stretch marks eradicates lots of issues.
