What does a guy mean when he says “Youre against the rules.” to a girl?

The question is exactly as its stated in the title, I recently made amends with a guy I was talking to and he told me “You're just against the rules” I really don't get what that means it's the first time anyone has told me that and I've been trying to wrap my head around what he means by that. We agreed not to speak anymore as that's what feels appropriate rn but I kind of wish I asked him what he meant, so guys have you ever said this to someone? Is this supposed to mean something that I'm not grasping? What the fuck does this mean? 😂

Not necessarily we were kinda just hanging out doing what we were doing and he freaked out and left then I got a hold of him again to discuss and that was the reaccuring statement
