Why would he unblock me a day after he blocked me and dumped me?

Because he thought twice about it and changed his mind as far as blocking you. I would not assume he changed his mind about dumping you. Don't read too much into anything guys or girls do when comes to social media or things like this.

Could mean anything... but I have done this were I dumped a girl or she dumped me and I blocked her in the heat of the moment... but then later unblock her because even though I would never date her seriously, if she ever wanted to reach out again I would hook up with her.
