Me and my partner have been together 8 years. We are both in our 40s only he never acts like a hot bloody male. Probably been a problem from the start. Sex seemed to be a chore for him and it always felt mechanical. At first I thought it was me as I was used to a lot more attention. He even told me I was crazy for wanting more. So I dampened down my desires and stopped my longing for intimacy. Sometimes it will be once every few months. He never wants to even act flirty with me or playful. So when ask him why he doesn't want me. He gets angry and says I'm crazy and it's not normal. I feel so hurt and I just want him to want me. My instincts tell me he's a closet gay?

Sounds like you both may need a little help getting back on track. Or maybe you are not compatible. Talk through it more, no way of knowing if he’s gay or not , it could be something else , but I’d find out if I were u

It is possible he's gay and doesn't know it yet, but do you have additional reasons (beyond his reluctance for sex) to think he could be gay? I'm a gay man and can often see multiple traits in a man that makes him gay.

I have asked him and he just doesn't answer. He will argue about it by name calling and putting me down
