My ex never posted me, but he got a new girlfriend and posts her all the time. Why?

I was in serious relationship with my ex for 2 and a half years, he never posted me on social media although I met his friends and family. I posted him but when I asked why he didn't return the favour, he said he's never active on social media and that he doesn't need to prove anything online. Even when I gently asked him to post at least a story, he would avoid the topic.

We broke up mutually over something else months ago, and now he's with a new girlfriend. Surprise surprise. He posts her all the time with pics of them together and cute posts. Why wasn't I posted?
