Is it normal for guy friends to be touchy?

is it normal for guy friends to be touchy with you? do they do a lot of physical contact with you for a reason or is it just something they do for fun?

i’m asking because muy guy friend recently began to have a lot of physical contact like grabbing my waist when we hug and subtly putting his hand on my thigh but i’m not sure if it’s normal or if he’s interested in me

There are very few more clearer statements that "I want to go to the next level" than a hug that includes the grabbing of a thigh or butt cheeks. This can also be interpreted as a frustration touch and a last effort to communicate his feelings towards you. It is likely that he has been your friend because he had a crush and thought this a way to be a boyfriend.

Most guys are very careful about being touchy with women, unless they are being flirty, or very close already. He might be an exception, you'd have to see how he interacts with his other female friends. The easiest way to find out would be to just talk to him and ask.

he’s definitely very flirty with me and i’ve noticed it too. he looks at my lips and teases me a lot which is why it think his intentions are more than just being friends. i’ve seen the way he treats his other female friends and with me he’s definitely more touchy

my best girl friend, him and i are like a trio and i’ve definitely noticed that he treats me different from how he treats her, with me he’s touchy and with her he just acts normal.

i feel comfortable with him and i quite like it which is why i want to know what his intentions are
