Showering with my boyfriend?

So my boyfriend of 2 and a half years and I used to always shower together in the beginning of our relationship. However, now he tells me you go shower and I’ll shower after you. We had this discussion 2 months ago about why and he says it’s not because he doesn’t want to but because he forgets and he will try better. Anyway to months have gone by and nothing has changed and his still saying the same things that he wants to but always forgets. Is this normal or it is normal for boyfriends to want to go shower with the partner?

We barely have the actual opportunity to shower together most showers we take are alone as we don’t live together. I have talk to him about it but he says he wants to but he still tells me go shower and I’ll shower after you. So i don’t know I’m confused.

Undoubtedly bfs and gfs shower together as a sexy thing to do initially in a relationship but I think practicality soon makes that infrequent. E. g. one partner goes to work earlier or else is in more of a hurry to go to work.

For myself, the morning shower is part of my work ritual and during it I map out my work day, priorities etc.

If you have a shower over batch than having two people in it is going to be difficult and even if there is a separate shower it is hard for two people to get equal amounts of shower water.

I'm a bit surprised you have been shower together for so long - congrats on that.

I get that me to I love showering but we barely actually have the opportunity to shower together so wouldn’t you take the opportunity?

Showering 🧼 should be an a alone time for people where they get to relax and enjoy their quiet time.
