Why would a really fit and muscular guy be attracted to a chubby girl?

So he's a super fit and muscular guy and I'm a bit chubby I mean I'm nowhere near as fit as he is but he keeps staring at me all the time, finds excuses to touch me frequently, keeps flirting with me, laughs and smiles all the time when he's with me etc.

I don't get it sometimes though why is he attracted to me I thought he would prefer someone as fit as him. Sometimes I even get a little self conscious around him due to this.

They (the chubbier partner) probably have a great attitude and the perfect addictive body type that makes for great intimate close comforting feeling. A lot of guys chase those who make them feel comfortable and happy over looks. Its one of the many reasons guys settle for those on both ends of the spectrum of physical traits.

I work out at least four days a week and have become muscular, and my crush has had her weight problems. To me its not a big deal, because I have had issues myself. Her body is the not sole reason I'm attacted to her. It is one of many. I'm also a bigger person, and I tend to be attracted more towards taller girls.
