What makes a guy turn to his back to the door and stand there and look at you from a distance?

There were two cops that were walking out of the cafe with food. And as one of them were leaving, he stands at the door and turns around so his back is on the door and he just stares from a distance for a bit before he walks out. I even did a double take to see if he was looking and he just kept looking at me until he pushed it open and left. So I’m wondering what this behavior was about?

I suppose. He kind of lingered as he was standing by the door. Like he stood there for maybe 4 seconds before he pushed the door open and left.
And when he turned he looked directly in my direction. I was working behind the counter so I don’t think there was any threats in the cafe to be worried about. His partner also didn’t think so either because he just immediately walked out.

No, I think he was probably just entranced by your beauty. At the same time though, cops do some weird shit that only other cops will understand. So it's hard to say for sure
