What does it mean if a guy stops in his tracks to look at you?

He was walking behind his girlfriend, but he was on the upstairs floor and I was downstairs. He saw me through the huge window and stopped in his tracks to get closer, and even sat down to get a closer look to see if it’s actually me I guess. I’m guessing she called out to him or something because once he sat down he got back up and walked off quite quickly. Plus, who sits down like that?

So I’m basically saying… why am I that much of a big deal for him to stop in his tracks and sit down for? His girlfriend was hot. This isn’t a pick me post, I’m genuinely curious. I don’t think this guy likes me because we got off on bad terms a few years ago. Yes there is a history but we never dated. I guess I didn’t expect him to react like that, or give a crap about my presence tbh

I was wearing a coat because it was cold. I don’t think he could even see what I was wearing from his angle tbh, I think it would just be able to see my face since I was behind some hanged up clothes that were displayed.
