How to make up for my mistake?

Yesterday when I met my employer, he came to pick me up and take me to the work. So when I went downstairs, I didn’t recognize him from a far and when he was waving his hand, I thought he was a creep and twisted my face as a natural expression I would have while being creeped out, because I am a very expressive person.

Then he called my name and I found out it was actually my employer and felt so awkward and sad that I made him feel bad I guess, so before then he was always calling me “dear” now he just calls me by my name. Even though he said he really liked my performance yesterday

I’d say you can give a brief apology and let him know that you had accidentally mistaken him for someone else earlier. Then, return to business as usual.


Or, you can just return to business as usual and be well mannered and polite moving forward, performing well at your job to allow the event to be forgotten.

I think it's better if you just pretend it never happened and keep treating him as usual... If you get extra friendly or you give him extra attention he'll be damn sure that what you did was probably on purpose and not an accident lol.. If he chooses to continue being very superficial and passive then just give it back to him... Just don't act desperate... You didn't do anything wrong... it was just an accident...

Just explaining it to him might be your best defense. If he knows you already as an employee, then he might see your behavior as out of character but your explanation would help him make sense of it, and not take it personally.

Time is a great healer. Do something out of the ordinary for him and you'll win him round but be careful it doesn't look too flirty, unless you like him that way...
