I'd say because we are tought this way from when we are little they teach us that we must be strong and that many depend on us. The thing is sometimes takes a lot for a man to break down. The things we all humans go through in life ain't easy nor forgiving same goes for man and woman.
For us to let our feelings out ain't an easy thing because it will be judged and never understood by others and we do strive to fix our problems by ourselves without asking for help. So when we see a brother being in a dire state we know that person has climbed out from hell.
But that doesn't mean we don't show compassion for woman too. Yet some people do cry for stupid things so we don't bother. I'd say tears sometimes cost a lot.

If and when I cry it's because something in my life like a loved one passed or YouTube video someone helping someone who needed it so bad. I feel I'm not

If big girls don't cry, then why should men? Apparently, some men are sensitive too. I see no weakness when I see a man cry, only compassion.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/vYoAVWaREOIMen cry, just for different reasons than women. I haven't met a guy yet who has said they didn't tear up at the ending of Gladiator. And I don't know a single guy who would be put off if they saw a man crying over the loss of a loved one.
If a man cries frequently or for a dumb reason, though, then yeah, it's pretty off-putting and effeminate. Nobody wants to put up with a crybaby bitch.
People have their reasons to cry and I won't judge. I've cried over seemingly idiotic things, but sometimes it's just a certain moment that spurs the emotions from more serious ones that were held back. But most people hide when they're tears because it can get annoying, and that's just how it is. Some cry for attention, but there are nearly always other signs they're doing that than crying alone.
I cry all the time. The girl I loved more than anything died a tragic death and now everything in my life is empty and pointless.
But you won't see me crying, because I'm not looking for sympathy or attention.
So if I see a man crying, I assume that's what he wants. It doesn't make me upset thoughas a person who've been through a lot in life such as losing a parent and other family members at a young ass age I never was bothered by seing another person of my gender cry. crying is normal and it doesn't necessarily mean you are weak.
if anything I see way more women get upset and put off when they see men cry as is we are supposed to be sociopaths that are not allow to express ourselves emotionally
When women cry I don't really get sad. They always cry for small stuff. When men cry I know something is up. Generally men cry alone that too rarely if they do. But if they are crying infront of me I give them my undivided attention leaving whatever I am doing. I know that they have probably cried a lot in private before and than they have come out in public and it takes too much guts.
It makes me feel really bad/sad when I see a guy I know cry because it is like such a rare occurrence most men will not cry in front of you.
In soccer it is very normal to see men crying, some of them with happiness for having won the title and others sad because they lost it.
Men don't cry frequently it's only when they lost everything or equivalent to everything
I don't get upset. I respect that a bro "knows how to cry" and not always act like fake stonewall we all men aim to be.
I support guy who cry for his parents
I laugh at guys who cry for girlskuz in school they taught boys can't cry.
