I’ve noticed it’s rather common, if I share a pick up line, a very common response from guys is “how many times have you used that”? Why say that? I feel like it’s quite rude and doesn’t start of the conversation on a good impression - kind of sounds possessive
I understand how that can feel frustrating and dismissive. It's possible that some guys may say that as a way to try to be funny or playful, but it can come across as rude and dismissive. It's important for people to be respectful and mindful of the ways they interact with others, particularly when trying to initiate a conversation or express interest. If someone's response to a pick-up line makes you uncomfortable, it's perfectly acceptable to let them know and perhaps steer the conversation in a different direction.

If a guys said a pick up line to me I would also wonder the same things so XD
That's weird. I like when girls do that. Because they almost never make an effort. We almost always see just a "Hi". So even a used pickup line is something better than just a Hi.
Girls use pick up lines now? A lot has changed since I last been on a dating website apparently.

Pickup lines suck. I just introduce myself, Hello So and so (full name) its nice to meet you. Whats with the X (conversation starter object) in your picture?
Reminds me of people saying “you’re just saying that to make me feel better.”
