Yeah, weed eating is a drag. Here in northern California, everything turns green in the spring. The trees get fresh new leaves and the wild grasses start growing. The countryside looks like Ireland. But that means that the wild grasses around my house, in our small orchard, and at the bottom of our 1/2 mile long driveway wind up 18" tall. I always wait until the winter and spring rains stop and the grass turns yellow in late spring before doing the weed eating. That way 1) the grass is easier to cut and 2) it doesn't grow back until the next spring. But we have a lot of weed eating to do each year, and a lot of it is on slopes that make it even more work. I use a gas powered and my wife does some weed trimming around the house and garden with an electric one. We have hired people on occasion in the past to help. And this year we found a young guy who is amazing. He does it for a living is super professional. We pay him $250 per day but never had anyone get so much done in a day. He was completely finished in 2 days. I didn't have to do a thing. 😃😃😃 Yay!!!

  I got rid of my 2 cycle weed whacker. It was always hard to start and it was loud and it never did a good job. I got a nicde battery powered one.
