A guy ghosted my friend. Why did he do that?

She faced this when she met a guy. At first he was nice to her so she was nice to him too. He invited her out a few and she gave in after that. They continued chatting for a short while then slowly he started taking longer and longer to reply her messages. In the end he totally didn't see her messages at all. Why do you guys think he did this though? I don't know much about this stuff so I'm not sure how to advise her on this

Any person that ghosts instead of communicating has personal issues and is showing right off the bat they aren’t relationship material in the slightest. Tell her to not take it personally because when a person ghosts, it’s not the victim of the ghostings fault. It lies on the ghoster to reach out and say their actual feelings. You will most likely not get a ghoster to ever say their true feelings so it’s best to just move on

It would hurt her for me to tell her this since she really liked him a lot, and she used to tell me all about him when we're talking to each other. But I guess its the best option for her so yeah haha, thank you for your advice <3

Understandable! I was hurt when I had this happen to me too but I think it will be easier to move on when she realizes that the ghosting isn’t a reflection of her, it’s a reflection of him. She shouldn’t want someone like that to me apart of her life
