I went on a date with a guy we kissed and hugged laughed etc it was great. He told me 2 days after that he just got out of a relationship of 3 years and he feels like he can't give me what i deserve bc of how much he's been hurt and i seem like a good girl and he doesn't want to play me and needs to be alone. I said okay i understand. But will he come back? Like does he check my social media, does he think about me. Sees if im online, or like when i post about me partying does he think about me? I expect him to come back and text me some time later tbh. But i am just interested if guys have this kind of anxiety?

I don't think it is anxiety. What I think happened is that he thought he was ready to get out there again and did but found out he really wasn't ready. At least he was honest with you. You should be thankful for that instead of him trying to fake being happy. I'm guessing he still likes your social media stuff because he genuinely does like you but just feels it would be unfair to get in a relationship that he couldn't really be 100% mentally committed to not being over the last one. Give it some time and let him get over things. He may come back and try again.

I really liked him tho. How much time do you think he needs. It could be months but i don't think i want to wait for months but also i have no idea how to get over him for now.

Everyone processes that sort of thing differently. So there is no way to tell how long. What you have to decide is if it is worth you waiting or not and how long you're willing to do so.
