Unfortunately, men are visual. This may go back to hunter gatherer days, or it may be men's nature as more mechanical. As @sunnybeach123 stated, personality ultimately DOES matter more, all too many stunning women are bitchy. However, "ceteris paribus" (all other things being equal), the more stunning woman will prevail (assuming equal intelligence and kindness, ceteris paribus.)

@spartan55 another good Latin term to use answering these kinds of questions is "prima facie" (at first look). @Mdavila may indeed be the kind shy girl and better than the more outgoing bitch, but, prima face, the guy won't notice @Mdavila since she is more of a wallflower and he does not notice her, compared to the outgoing bitch.

Humans are visual creatures. We are "shallow" for very deep reasons. For instance, if I'm attracted to people with fit bodies, it means they're objectively healthier than someone who is obese. And seeing them respect themselves by keeping fit might even be a signifier or other characteristics I might like about them.

I don't. Personality comes first. If I have a connection to a girl and we share common interests than I am open to all body types/shapes. I've noticed lots of women are hard on large bodied women but I find that arousing (among other body types too).
