Do women prefer white men with dark features?

I always thought that such men were considered attractive. A tall, dark-haired, handsome man with a beard and a tan always has an advantage over other guys?

Some of what you describe is attractive. I don't care much for facial hair. I don't care about the guy's height all that much. As I have said many other times on this site I tend to date close to my own height. I have no idea why. It is either by fate or in my subconscious that I am attracted to people around my own height. As for tan that can look nice. I have dark hair so wouldn't care if he did either. Outside of that as long as he is a good dude with a nice personality than I will give him a chance.

I agree that appearance is not important, if the person treats you poorly, the feeling goes away immediately.
