I dated a poor man who was mentally disabled. He wanted to buy for me dates and gifts. It wasn’t expensive stuff as he’s poor. But wow. How I miss that. I never asked him for a single thing I was just grateful

Then I was talking to a guy bragging about how good at his job he was and has assets and things of value. I’m poor mind you.

Poor people know what it is like to have nothing on average more than people who have money. People with nothing tend to be more giving because of this. Having nothing isn't scarey when you have been there before. A rich person might be afraid of going back to being poor or they can relate to someone that isn't rich.
