So I actually had no clue what peacocking was haha. Apparently it's when a person highlights their best assets (either objectively or in their opinion) in order to attract a potential mate. So in guys (and gals) this could be: grooming themselves when around the person of interest, showing off their defining qualities or skills (like doing something reckless they think will be impressive), or highlighting their strong points.

On google it says: "Anything that makes them stand out from the competition" is how the peacocking will manifest. So this could be any attention-seeking behaviour as well.

Ah got it! In my experience, peacocking is more of a conscious effort to impress the other person. So it'll be more obvious things, like dressing well, making an effort with his appearance, being super loud (or quiet if all the other guys are being loud), doing reckless or stupid things that might grab the girl's attention, or even boasting about the girls he's talking to to make her realise how desirable he is. Literally anything he thinks will impress her. Hope this helped!

So, this is a trick one, because I think in dating everyone postures to some degree to impress the other person. Honestly, you just got to trust our instincts on it. Thats tricky to do, because some people are very skilled at hiding things.

I mean honestly if he is dressing in a way or driving all the right cars and things but works at Mc'Donald's he is peacocking. Like you just know by where they live and where they work, and what their occupation is... if he is posing or the real deal.
