This was supposed to be just a general question but everyone is assuming I’m some kind of drama queen or am at fault, we were together for years. Have tried to be friends, and it won’t work. If was my birthday on Saturday and he completely ruined it. We work together. He bought me a gift and everything. He started picking a fight with me then when I reacted he said I’m not gonna talk to you anymore, I hate you. I said the same thing back and he blocked me while we were at work then came up to -

- apologize. I told him to never ever speak to me again. This is how he’s always dealt with things. He’s extremely bi polar. He says horrible things, blocks me , cools off for a couple days then comes back. Our manager spoke to him and told him to leave me alone and he STILL came up to talk to me. But after I rejected that on Saturday, he’s kept me blocked and we are completely ignoring each other.

I don't know this guy I was absolutely in love with I blocked because he was never serious and just kept hurting me so I didn't want to hear or see anything from him ever again..

If he blocks you after an argument, it means he’s probably pissed off and fed up and doesn’t want to deal with it. He’s trying to cool off.


Whether or not he’ll unblock depends on whether he’s cooling off to revisit the conversation, or he’s cooling off and moving on.



He hasn’t forgotten — because if it’s no big deal and he’s forgotten about it, nothing will have changed, it would be as if nothing happened.

Oh well if I'm blocking you it IS the end of the relationship. It's over. There's nothing else to do. Like moving out of a house. You don't go back a month later to check the grass length and water the hydrangeas. You pack up, turn in your keys and go on with life.

Well you will find out if he unblocks you and talks to you after he has cooled off. Some people block you just to wait and calm down, others do it to never talk to you again. I will say though if he makes a habit of blocking you after arguments thats a pretty immature reactions.

Update: We don’t have details. What were most of your arguments centered around? I used to have that issue around your age, was much more moody. Not nearly as bad now, the swings attenuated with time.
