I don't actually know what she looks like (apart from one or two characteristics). She lives in another state, so there's no chance of her being at the Halloween dinner party. So the only way he'd know is when I announce it to our group of friends at the dinner party. Would I look needy or embarrass him or would it just be fun?

+1 yI would not recommend dressing up as your crush's ex-girlfriend for Halloween. Here are a few potential issues with this idea:
- It could come across as strange or inappropriate since you don't actually know her. Your crush may find it disrespectful to his ex.
- It could make your crush feel uncomfortable or annoyed, especially if the breakup is still fresh. Bringing up an ex can resurface complicated feelings.
- You run the risk of embarrassing yourself if your costume is inaccurate. Without knowing details, it may seem like a silly guesstimate.
- It could appear needy, like you're trying too hard to get your crush's attention instead of just enjoying yourself.
- Since you have limited information about his ex, the costume may inadvertently strike a nerve or bring up bad memories for your crush.
Instead, I'd recommend dressing up as something fun that lets your own personality shine through. You could even coordinate costumes with your crush in some way without bringing an ex into it. Most importantly, focus on having a great time with friends rather than fixating on an ex who will likely make your crush uneasy.22 Reply- +1 y

It sounds WAY RISKY to me, if it got back to her it could be interpreted as "I want to be her" or that "I think she is more attractive" etc. Next ex's are ex's for reasons, do you really want to associate yourself with the baggage that came from the old relationship? Or, even worse, if he isn't over her yet, bring up those memories? It sounds fun, but really it has a strong possibility of blowing up in your face.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yYou’d look like a fool. To me if I was your crush and you did that, I’d think wtf is wrong w you. Like you’re jealous of a girl you don’t even know. Not only that we aren’t even together so that’s even more weird. If we were together you might be able to get away w it. But I think you’d push me away honestly. Because I’m thinking man this chick is petty, kind of off mentally.

+1 yNow we all fuckin know that's weird af. Don't do that to your crush because we and you don't know hiw their relationship fumbled. You could very well be giving him ptsd by doing so. Be a cat, witch or literally anything else.

I was thinking the exact same thing about the ptsd
+1 y... if this is a serious post, I'm gonna give the following advice. Don't. There's a reason she's an ex. If you want a future with this man, it would probably be best if you didn't invoke uncomfortabl feelings for him.

+1 yWouldn’t it be kinda weird if he makes love to you after the party. Maybe you may remind him of her. Why not just dress up as a sexy character. Be a wonder women or a sexy x men character.
10 Reply322 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. I would not recommend doing that, as he is probably doing his damndest to move on from her, and if you show up looking like his ex would probably piss him off big time, and kill off any chance you might have with him.

+1 yUm... I'd feel awkward. And call you stalkish.
In other words, DON'T DO IT!!!
Be someone or something else. Don't let someone dictate your life.
20 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. oh lord! the silly bad ideas people come up with. think about it. he is NOT with her for reasons and your plan is to immitate her because you like him. that is the equivalent of imitatting hitler for a jewish gathering or as epstein for a children's event.

+1 yThat would be, strange. So many questions… What made her so unique? Would it be pretty obvious? Would she be in a position to find out? Would she laugh, or think you’re being mean or petty? Does he still have the hots for her? Why did they break up? Would he laugh, or think you’re being desperate?

+1 yGirl, just dress the way you want and allow him to enjoy you for you and not because you remind him of his ex. She’s an ex for a reason meaning they never worked out. Your closing your doors of opportunity before it even happens.

+1 ySounds fun but could be hard to execute. If she doesn't have any visual characteristics that makes it obvious for everyone, it kind of misses the point.

+1 yYou'd look like you are: a needy, insecure soon-to-be ex girlfriend.
30 Reply361 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Why would you announce it? And Why as the ex? Same costume then? I wouldn't try to "dress as" the ex, don't want to make him remember all that went wrong. If you use the same costume, make him remember it for something good.

20 ReplyIf you want to be a psychotic despot? Knock yourself out. Cray cray comes to mind. Insane got no brain.

+1 yPut a pin in it. Try brainstorming some other ideas. There's a whole thread of them for the GaG costume contest. How does one dress as someone's ex anyway?

+1 yIt would come off as a bit creepy to me, there's a reason I'm not with any of my exes, and someone dressing up as one of them would be a turn off to me
10 Reply Very bad idea! Don´t do it! You need to understand your crush always will have some feelings towards the ex. They had history together. And you to come and poke in it... or make mockery out of her is not a good idea.
