For Halloween, I want to dress as crush's ex girlfriend. Would my crush feel awkward or like it?

I don't actually know what she looks like (apart from one or two characteristics). She lives in another state, so there's no chance of her being at the Halloween dinner party. So the only way he'd know is when I announce it to our group of friends at the dinner party. Would I look needy or embarrass him or would it just be fun?

Do the other guests know her? It sounds WAY RISKY to me, if it got back to her it could be interpreted as "I want to be her" or that "I think she is more attractive" etc. Next ex's are ex's for reasons, do you really want to associate yourself with the baggage that came from the old relationship? Or, even worse, if he isn't over her yet, bring up those memories? It sounds fun, but really it has a strong possibility of blowing up in your face.

You’d look like a fool. To me if I was your crush and you did that, I’d think wtf is wrong w you. Like you’re jealous of a girl you don’t even know.
