Do you care if a girl curses?
If she curses every now and then its it alright?, as long as not every word out of her mouth is a curse word.
I'm just curious because when I curse in front of my crush, he always says, don't curse.
I suppose it depends on the "level" of cursing, the amount, and the place.
I would mind the "smaller" ones and I don't care if she says "pissed off." To me, that's not a swear word.
However if she's swearing all the time in the car, it would probably tense things up. I hate driving and traffic, and I swear (the big ones too) but I'm trying to stop.
I suppose if it's in front of kids, then I wouldn't want her swearing. Of course, I would hope to not do that myself in front of kids.
I don't swear often, but it's in private or to quote someone, then I will.
What does annoy me is hypocrisy. Like my father claims to never swear. He has "NEVER SWORN" and his little innocent tender little ears get him worked up when he hears a swear word or even burping humor.
Yet the same guy belches constantly. Then he has a bad habit of swearing. In general he has always had a real problem with rage in general. He swears at the smallest things. If he drops a piece of paper, he'll swear. He swears when he stubs his toe. He swears, and then two seconds later will deny it. Half the time, he claims to never remember yelling and swearing yet the whole house can hear him. If he turns on a light and gets a little zap from static electricity, he will swear a blue streak. I work at home, and this is a BIG problem, because he's often in the next room screaming like a banshee and swearing at the top of his lungs (who knows at what); and I'm at work, on the phone, where people might hear this. And yet "he never swears." I admit I swear. I don't have a problem with swearing outside of the car, but I admit I do it, and I'll admit that sometime down the road, if I don't curb it, it could turn into a problem.
Now, in the bedroom, it might be kind of hot if my future wife did that once in a while. If she could control it well, and it wasn't the big ones, and it wasn't used as a noun, adjective, verb, adverb or name, then I wouldn't get on her case. If it turned into a problem, like if she was always swearing in front of kids, then we would need to work on it.
Otherwise a "minor" swear word once in a while is something I don't mind.
Boy?! Boy?! I see no boy! I look in a mirror, and see a rugged man of virility! ;)
Not really, as long as it's just the fu*k, motherfu***r. damn, bitch, shit, etc words. Right, like you said, if she only curses every now and then I think it's just fine. Actually, it's kind of a turn -on to me when a girl cusses off and on when she's just talking. Like it puts emphasis on some things she saying, but it should be used only for things that she doesn't like. For example. One night this girl did something stupid that made my girlfriend look bad. We all went to this restaurant and this girl gets out of a car ahead of her boyfriend. My girlfriend immediate cussed that girl out something terrible and she just stood there in front of some other people and took it all because she knew she was guilty. I would say my girlfriend used the "fuc*'ing or F word 100 times along with the B or MF words plenty of times, and she usually doesn't cuss all that much, so I was really surprised. Afterwards, everyone laughed because she had gotten it off her chest and the other girl had it coming. In cases like that, my girlfriend came out the winner because she was right. She actually made a couple new friends that night. lol!
i think every now and then is ok but not like "aww yeeee I was at f***en target shoppin for some new f***en clothes and this f***en bitch walked infront of me and I was f***en like 'EY YA FUCKEN SLUT WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU FUCKEN THINK YOURE DOIN YA FUCKEN BITCH! I GOT ME FUCKEN KIDS ERE WATCH HOW YA FUCKEN ACT INFRONT OF ME KIDS FUCKEN BITCH'"
but I don't think anyones that bad
i doubt you're a full on bogan and all haha
but yeah every once in a while that's fine
i do it and nobody seems to care
im a counrty girl! and there is a time and a place, some people think it dosn't sound good! your not to kinky if you don't think so! swear words like turn me on! when you hear one your definitely looking to see whos mouth it came out of hehehehe If my man didn't swear I would be creaped out it sounds Badass
I know for religious guys and guys who associate with "high class" people, swearing is a very bad thing. I met a man of God, who was very humble and was always associating himself with other christaisn, he told me I was the first girl (out of the 200 that he met in university) that he heard swearing.
Well, when dating someone new if this is a question that is bothering you, simply just ask him, do you mine if I curses or no. But from my experience, guys do not like girls that curses unless it just comes out on acident or the situation you are in makes you curses. Just don't curses too much.

It depends. Does she curse because she's ignorant or because she's badass? If it's the latter then it's hot. If it's because she's ignorant then it's a turn-off.
It requires a bit of self-awareness. You might come off as a bum if you swear in the wrong context. For example: I go to a college and I have a bunch of my friends from highschool who went onto university. Now, we get together every now and then and they bring some of their university friends with them. If I start swearing around those university kids they are more prone to build an image of me as a lower-class college kid with no manners. Everybody has a sort of latent, inherent ethnocentricity in their psychological makeup, I guess.
But then it's like me and those same kids go to a club, and after a few drinks I know they've loosened up and they're not that discriminating anymore, and I basically show them that I'm not a one-dimensional character.
Then it's like after the club they start sobering up but they keep swearing. It's bad if I jump that gun, but it's like now that the alcohol has unveiled the curtains and social decorum isn't that important they can't judge me. Hah. Assholes. >:)
With a girl I'm basically looking for similar things. But I'm always breaking my own rules anyway and just doing whatever feels right at the moment.
Haha. You remind me of one incident. So I was sitting in the library and there was this really attractive girl. The type who gets a lot of attention. Then suddenly someone called her. She picked up the phone, the phone volume was high and you could hear another girl from the other side of the phone. Don't know what she said but suddenly this attractive girl was cursing like hell. Hahahaha. More or less used all the curse words that exists. It was kind of funny because it's so not went along with her looks but definitely not attractive. Naah. Don't curse. Some people have fetish for such girls though. hahaha
Yeah. Whenever people here me go off about somethin for the first time they're always really surprised like "Are those words really coming out of SARAH's mouth?" haha. But both of my parents WERE sailors so...lol not really an excuse, but I can use it. :-)
Wow. So you living up to the mythical "Sailor's Mouth". lol. Yeah sometimes you just wouldn't assume just by looking at someone how coarse-mouthed she can be. It's definitely like bam.
Exactly. And I can really shock people. haha
I think it's funny how they react at first. Like they just found out that their kindergarten teacher used to strip or somethin lol
Oh, and I meant "hear" not "here." I'm not ignorant! :-)
for me I don't mind it as long as it's not excessive, but you should pay attention to the guy and see how much he curses, if he curses a lot then its ok, but if he doesn't curse then you shouldnt either. personally I don't see the big deal with cursing and people are so touchy about them, theyre just words. I curse a lot but not excessively like if I stub my toe ill go "f*** that hurt" or sometimes even more casual, I use the phrase "holy shit" a lot. but mainly watch the guy, its best to just match what he does.
Why are "swearwords" considered evil? Especialy if using a synonym is OK I.e
Poop isn't swearing but s*** is, why. If it's the meaning there both bad and not worth telling someone not to say.
If someone chooses to be offended by a word that's there problem, if people got offended by the word "it" I'm not going to stop saying it just because they don't like it.
Ha, I find it refreshing. I don't want some sexually repressed seen-and-not-heard woman. I want a girl free to express herself. If she wants to curse, it is fine with me. Granted, it is always best to consider the company you are in. I wouldn't want her dropping f-bombs in front of my grandmother.
Personally I like a girl that knows all the words, but never uses them. All cursing does is tell the world that you have a limited vocabulary. I like a propper lady. Intelligent, in control of her emotions at all times, always beautiful and elegant, until we are alone and then she is a wild animal. Behind closed doors. In short no, never curse in public.
Haha that's exactly what I was going to say! I'm the type who "knows all the words but doesn't use them" because I feel fully capable of expressing my thoughts, ideas, and feelings without them.
I know a girl who curses often, she's usually always bitchie, makes her seem uneducated. Not attractive one bit, all of a sudden she becomes a dude in that manner.
Cursing when pissed off is normal, or to express a point, but just to ramble on like that I can't stand it, hard to tell if she's in a good mood or angry.
Depends on who the girl is. Some I have had to ask to stop because the littlest thing I said angered them and showed how immature they were. Others I was afraid I'd get my butt kicked if I said anything and one in particular the way she curses is so cute. There is a time and place for everything but if a girl is trying to impress me or whatever unless I like her I don't want to hear it but if the situation calls for it I am all for it.
It probably differs with every guy, but for me, the less cursing the better. Both guys and girls curse now and then, it just happens, and that's okay. But it's a turn off for me if a girl curses too much. So basically, less is better, but it's okay to slip up.
i don't think its in ur nature, that's why it sounds wrong when you do it, guys swear a lot when theyre pissed or something, what you're supposed to do is calm us down not throw swear words back in our faces
If used appropriately then its a turn on. By this I mean, when used to emphasize something extreamly. If you curse all the time, then it just sounds dumb. But when something really bad happens, or you just get really angry.
I don't care for a girl that swears often. If its out of frustration or anger every once in awhile that's fine, but don't make it apart of your everyday vocabulary. To me it's trashy and a bad habit. My girlfriend used to do it BAD when we first started dating. She used to cuss like a sailor on social media and drop F bombs all the time until I told her I would like to see her drop the habit because it shows class. She now hardly ever swears and I couldn't be more proud of her.
I personally don't like girls who go over board cursing at everyone, and anything, if cursing is used at a moderate level then it's ok. It can be a turn off depending on how its used.
Well, he obviously thinks it's a turn off if he's asking you not to curse.Cursing a lot (not that you do that) just shows you don't have a big vocabulary. :P
It all depends on how much you do curse, if you curse all the time especially when it is not necessary it makes you look like an ass in my opinion. I really don't have a problem with girls cursing. As far as him saying don't curse he could really mean it or he could be just flirting, I tell the girl I'm "messing around with" that she shouldn't curse and she will just look at me and wither say FU in like a joking matter or she will say ok dear with a smart a** attitude.
Well then it apparently is to him, and nothing the rest of the guys who answer this question will change that. Personally it doesn't bother me at all.
I wouldn't like it, I want you to be polite and kind, a nice caring woman. Going around cussing isn't the answer.
It also matters how much you swear if you swear a lot or it could be he just doesn't like people swearing around him. Sometimes I tell the guys I like to stop swearing, and they listening to me.
Not a turn off, but when used too often it is. I use to swear a lot..I mean a lot. I've cut way way back. It's much better. Over all people are more responsive in a positive way. =)
Most guys I know don't like it when girls swear all the time. It's okay occasionally and if it's necessary. But then again, it depends on the guy.
Thats funny because I do the same exact same to certain girls. I think its because I respect that girl that much that I don't like hearing them curse.
I don't care for girls that curse. Really isn't a turn on at all.
I guess my reason is a little selfish, but when I'm with a girl who calms me and is very nice, I don't like hearing her swear because it sort of ruins the peaceful and carefree atmosphere.
Don't like girls that curses a lot or ones who are rude.
it can be a turn off, its a guy to guy thing. if ur man says not to then its prob a turn off for him lol
I like 'em swearing like sailors.
big turn off when used too frequently
I don't really care either way.
Don't curse TOO much
