i don’t know if you have noticed it but whenever people make out guys always go for the waist or lower like their arms and hands are always around that area while girls hold around the neck, hands touching your shoulders/arms. have you noticed that?
When making out why is it that your hands always go to wrap around lower body and ours upper body?

Good question. I'm not sure but I'll take a shot at it.
I'm picturing dancing. The guy's left hand holds the girl's right hand. His right hand goes around her ribs under her raised left arm and he places his hand on her back. Her left arm is raised, resting on top his right arm with her hand on his upper arm or shoulder.
So maybe dancing illustrates a natural position for men and women when they embrace.
When a man and woman are standing together, she is usually tilting her head back looking up at him because most women are shorter than men. So it's natural for her to reach up in that direction when they embrace. It also allows her to lift herself up on her tip toes and steady herself. Plus, women like the feel the steadiness of men's biceps and shoulders with their hands.
When she reaches up, it's easy and natural for him to make the minimal movement with his arms and grasp her waist.
Picture men shaking hands. They usually bend their elbow, extend their lower arm at waist level, parallel to the ground or even pointing slightly downward, and lock their wrist. If a man has to reach up, it forces him to bend his wrist in a limp fashion, which looks effeminate and submissive. So it's more natural for a man to stand up straight and simply extend his forearms rather than raising them up.
I'm not saying that men can't raise their arms. They do it all the time for bro hugs or when sitting next to a girl with their arm around he shoulder. But in many cases, it's more natural to keep their arms closer to their sides.
But I digress.
If a man puts his arms or hands around a woman's neck or shoulders, it's kind of confining for her. Under some circumstances it could feel aggressive, controlling or smothering. Although it can work really well when getting into deep kissing and face eating.
The other thing is, women's waists are neutral ground between their boobs and butt. The indents are like natural handles between her ribs and hips. It feels really nice to grasp a woman's narrow waist and it gives her the freedom to lean in or back or to stand on her tip toes. And it's easier for a guy to lean down and kiss her tenderly than if his arms are wrapped around her neck or shoulders.
After my first date with a couple of different girlfriends, just before we parted, they stepped close, looked up at me, then put their hands on top of my shoulders and lifted up on their tip toes to kiss me tenderly. My hands automatically went to their waists.
It just seems natural.
Because women get mad if you start with her "goodies". You kind of have to work up to that.😆
