How do I know if my puppy is cold in the house?

he stopped sleeping in his bed and comes to me at night when it’s colder, i put a blanket over him and he’ll sleep the night without trying to remove it as i got it as him being cold and started putting his little sweaters on, i’ve tried different styles to see if he needed thicker or thinner clothes but he’ll spend the entire evening trying to take them off. could it be because this is his first ever winter so he isn’t used to clothes? how do i know if he’s cold? he’s still a baby so everything is a toy and he’ll spend hours playing with things. so what do i do? i don’t want him to be cold and uncomfortable but he won’t let the sweater stay still

i didn’t notice him shivering but when i touched his paws they were cold and then i had my heater poiting at my feet and he laid on top of them and fell asleep so peacefully that it felt like he was cold and could finally sleep feeling warm

Hun, it’s a puppy not a human baby. If it isn’t cold to you I’m sure for a dog, that is layered with fur, isn’t cold either. And just like any other mammal on earth that is cold, puppies are no different. Shivering. The dog does not need a sweater and the only way to get him to keep it on is to tell him to keep it on, which you can not do, so stop trying to put it on him.
