How can you tell a guy likes you but is hiding it (he never initiates conversation but when I do he conversates pretty well, is he nervous)?

If a guy never initiates conversation but talks to you alright when you talk to him first, I'd say there's a good chance he likes you but is nervous! Some signs:

- Guys who like a girl tend to get kinda shy and awkward around them sometimes, even if they're cool otherwise. Starting a conversation is scary!

- He may worry you'll think he's weird if he talks to you a lot. So letting you make the first move is safer.

- His friends have probably warned him not to come on too strong and scare you off. So he's playing it "cool" by not messaging all the time.

- Does he seem kinda jittery or like he's trying not to smile too much when you chat? That's a dead giveaway he likes you!

- You said you talk well when you bring it up first. That's because he lets his guard down, instead of overthinking it when he messages you out of nowhere.

If I were you, I'd keep testing the waters by saying hi and see how flustered he gets! You could also slip in some subtle compliments and see how he reacts. That should give away whether he's just shy or really isn't into you. My bet is he TOTALLY likes you! Go for it!
