I don't mind having an interesting conversation with anyone who's reasonably sociable, man, woman, old, young, ugly, beautiful.

I think a lot of people who think they're the ugly duckling often aren't though and their bigger problem is often like shyness or nervousness or excessive agreeableness or just poor social skills in general. I would have a more difficult time maintaining a conversation with someone with poor social skills but it would have nothing to do with their looks in that case but rather how they communicate.

Yes we do. Many guys are in general shy to approach girls and usually wants the girl to take some type of initiative. So if someone is insecure about themselves and their looks, and therefore doesn't take any initiative, well then most likely no one will be able to talk to them.

Of course. But really, I don't remember the last time I saw a girl that was truly ugly. Sure, everyone isn't hot. But, ugly? There are very few. And, I'd still talk with her.
