I accidentally said something that my male friend didn’t like and when my sister asked if he heard what I said he said that “ my words caressed his ears but they could not pass through” what does this mean?

Hmm that's a strange way for a guy to respond. It almost sounds poetic but I'm not really sure what he's trying to say. A few possibilities:

- He's being sarcastic/passive aggressive. Like your words sounded nice at first but he didn't actually like what you said.

- Maybe your comment got under his skin somehow but he didn't want to admit it bothered him. So saying it "couldn't pass through" is like denying it affected him.

- It could be some weird metaphor like your voice physically reached his ears but the meaning/message didn't fully register or sink in to him for some reason.

- Long shot, but some guys try to be cryptic thinkers to seem deep. Possible he was just talking gibberish lol.

Overall I'd say it's kinda dramatic and vague. If I were you, I'd just ask him straight up what he meant by that weird response. Get some actual clarity instead of letting him speak in riddles, ya know?
