okay so theirs this guy who i think likes me he's a sophomore and im a freshmen in high school. he stares and smiles at me 24/7 and so does his friends. this has been going on for monthssss. like one time we wwere passing each other and we had really intense eye contact and we were both smiling and he said hello, i did not respond but i smiled bc i was shocked he actually said hello. anyway like one time in the cafeteria this is like my actual question him and his friends were staring at me when i walked by to throw something away and on my way back to my table i walked passed and it sounded like cat calling but they said "stop looking over here girl" like 3 times in like a cat calling sorta way i thought. anyway what do y'all think him and his friends meant with that.

Girl, that definitely sounds like catcalling unfortunately. Ugh, boys can be so immature and disrespectful sometimes!

A few possibilities for what their deal was:

- They were trying to embarrass you in front of their friends by yelling stuff out like that. Some guys are just jerks.

- They could have been trying to flirt, but clearly their "skills" need some work if they think catcalling is okay. Total turnoff.

- Maybe they were trying to act all tough and impress the guy who likes you? Boys can get competitive over a girl they like.

- It's possible they were just being obnoxious and weren't even specifically targeting you. But it's still not okay!

Honestly I wouldn't give those clowns the time of day if I were you. You can do way better than a guy who lets his friend disrespect you like that. But if the main guy still seems sweet, you could tell him directly how much it bugged you and see how he reacts. Maybe he didn't realize they crossed a line. Or steer clear of the whole crew - their loss!
