Fantasy when it comes to romance can healthy to a limited extent but self destructive if it goes too far.

I had a vain fantasy about reuniting with an ex from 10 years ago for a while. Of all the women I’ve met in my life she was the most compatible. But she met me at a bad time in my life.

Anyway that’s not possible. I know it now and I knew it shortly after she broke up with me. I wasted a lot of time and energy thinking of her and torturing myself over it. I confess I virtual stalked her much longer then I should I have. After deeper self analysis I realize I had childhood trauma issues going on that exacerbated it.

The last girl I crushed on and never made a move on still visits my dreams even now so many years later.
She's definitely "the who got away"

The dreams can be anything ranging from us finally being together to us meeting while having married other people.

And the thing is She's still a part of my life. But we changed so much over the years that I no longer have the feelings I had when we were 17.

Yeah I usually will dream about them once in the time I have a crush on them. But it's more common that I don't dream of them.

Mmm i think it's not really related to dating or feelings wise, they just pop up in my dreams doing random shit. So like we'll be chillin on a couch together or just always be around them

Sometimes I do. It is usually just a dream that we are together doing something random. Sometimes just that I see her out somewhere. Nothing too exciting.
