I would never date a bad driver, is this shallow?

If you just don't want to date someone who is UNWILLING to drive safely, I don't believe that's shallow. That's just identifying an issue, recognizing that it stems from bigger issues, and moving on to avoid wasting anyone's time.

Now, if you find "the one" and you're going steady until you realize they're a mediocre driver, THAT is shallow. But I don't think you're talking about that.

You can't know if the person you love is a good or bad driver. You have to get in the car with him first. If he drives well, then you'll say he's a good driver and say I'm going to flirt with you. This is crazy:D

Yes you can tell if they are a bad driver. My brother's friend is a bad driver and I never had to date him to find out. 😂

My brother told me his friend drives fast like a maniac. He wanted to give me a ride and I rejected him.

It is understood that you made your decision based on someone else's words, this can cause a person to make wrong decisions because people are jealous and can tell such lies to prevent someone else's happiness, you have to be careful, so what do you think could be crazier than this fast driving incident?

Well, if you felt unsafe with them and they insisted on driving, that's a reasonable concern. Or do you mean if he drives like an a-hole then he must be one off the road too? I'm not sure that connection always works.

What criteria do you use to determine a bad driver? Lots of accidents? lots of tickets, you just do not like how he drives? Does he drive too slow?

I'm an excellent driver. I wouldn't date a guy that sucked at driving. I don't know why some adults suck at driving. If you're not good at driving then do us all a favor and stop driving. You're putting other people's lives in danger.
