My BIL has a book called Men are better than Women. Is this concerning?

Not greatly concerning; we just need to be recognized that women need to develop better standards for themselves and improve. As it is men are better parents even though it is more strongly the biological role of women since they alone can give birth and should be better parents.

But children of single mother households fare a lot worse whilst single father households do as well as unbroken households. Just a few illustrative items
* 5 times more likely to suicide
* 10 times more likely to substance abuse
* girls are more likely to have male hunger and depression

We really do need to understand what is going wrong in this area and it has to be highly concerning.

Not in and of itself; a title's just a title- and some are made to be deliberately inflammatory. It's also just your brother in law. If you're very concerned, find a copy yourself and read it; it may not be as objectionable as it sounds.

depends. What are the books surrounding it? If it's Mein Kampf, yeah that could be a problem. But if it's next to a comic book them I'd say your BIL has a sense of humor. Which is always good, provided you do to.
