What is it about our legs that so many men find attractive?

I may be overthinking this, but I would like to know what guys find attractive about our legs? I mean they are just legs. I have had some guys say (of course) that they love the smoothness and shapes as well as even when we cross them. I don't really understand this, but how do guys feel when they see legs? What kind of legs do most guys like? Just a deep thought that I was wondering about.

Really good question. I find women's legs very attractive, but it's hard to explain why.

1. The skin above the knee is completely devoid of hair. And when they shave, their legs are silky smooth and tempting from top to bottom.

2. Women's thighs have subcutaneous fat, so they are not corded and muscle isn't as obvious as men's lean legs. Women's thighs are rounded and soft. They even jiggle.

3. Because of their pelvic structure, women's femurs angle more inward toward their knees compared to men's. That makes their thighs wider at the top and taper more from the top down.

4. I love the bulge at the very top of their inner thigh just below the inguinal crease. It's where the thigh gap frames their vulva. And I love the way their round butt cheeks crease across the tops of their thighs.

5. Women's pelvic structure also also gives them a distinctive walk.

6. Women's legs are lithe and flexible. And they are good at pointing their toes or walking on their tip toes.

I don't know. There is just something sexy and elegant about the architecture of women's sculpted legs. They don't look masculine.

It doesn't look like overthinking, way more like curiosity for the Other's point of view. It's all about the Other for me as well, when it's an heterosexual context, my case, women's legs are structured differently than mine so it is new, different, then attractive to me.

Legs can also be perceived as a path leading to what-is-between-legs, that alone, this path can be very much arousing in anticipation, imagination. Then there's the infinitely complex relation to symbol and memories, that is individual. Using my own memory, instinctively and accidentally, I am associating ideas with women legs, possibly positive previous experiences of arousal in relation to a girl for instance. A girl that I've been with, like the first one, or a girl I didn't know, like first memories of arousal, of erotism, through pictures or anything. That can be positive, that can be negative, depending on how my memories are being remembered and perceived.

It's somewhat hard to explain beyond "I just do" when it comes to finding women's legs attractive... BUT in general I just like every part of a woman's body.

If I like a woman, I like everything about her. How she looks how she feels how she smells... just everything.

When it comes to legs specifically though, beyond "I just do" I guess I'd say that several articles of clothing that women tend to wear, especially in hotter climates just accentuate the legs. Like short shorts, short skirts, short dresses, etc... they all draw emphasis to the legs.

Usually men in comparison don't really emphasize their legs, though some guys do like wearing short (er) shorts. Myself included actually, lol.

This is probably something niche that only applies to me, but I like to shave my legs and compare them to my girlfriend's shaven legs, lol. Soft skin on soft skin just feels really nice.

But anyway, that's about the best explanation I can give.

I think it's kind of like asking why some people like one color and others like another color. There's really no logical explanation. It's some kind of natural instinct.

The smooth skin, the gracefulness, the thought of the thighs and the prize they are hiding, the imagination of your hands stroking them all the way up and down, this is all naturally sexy to a man. It's clearly related to nature and reproduction.

Don't forget that in order to reproduce men have to have a certain physical reaction. And women have certain characteristics that designed by nature to induce men to get that reaction.

Much of what gives men that reaction is visual stimulation by a woman's body and there are many different characteristics of her body that contribute to that.

And since reproduction is nature's most important function, because without it the species could not survive, evolution has created some very powerful stimuli to contribute to successfully reproduction.

A lot of a man's attraction to a woman can't be explained in logical terms, it's an animal instinct.

Yes that's true. Undoubtedly there was some evolutionary explanation behind each of those features that's makes it attractive to men. The boobs... About being fertile and able to nurture children. The hair, shows a certain confirmation of good health maybe. The eyelashes... Don't have a really good theory about that one, but in general I think women become more attractive when they are adorned with things,.. that's why they are so much more into jewelry than men, into cosmetics, into colorful clothing... I think that all has something to do with natural attraction to attract men.

Even some animals have that kind of behavior... Pheasants for example, the male attracts the female by flashing its Fancy feathers. There are other species with a female has behavior or something like that.

So I think women are naturally drawn to things that are flashy and adornments. Eyelashes might fall into that category. A sort of an exaggeration of the beauty of her eyes. Kind of like cosmetic eyeliner and such.

True, but in the animal world, it's mostly the males that impress the females by showing colour. In certain bird species, females will take on a camouflage look so they can take care of the eggs until they hatch, which is a logical step in the evolutionary process. It's a matter of survival of the species. Unless you're a male penguin and take care of the egg during 65 to 75 days by not moving and not having any food.

As for women and cosmetics, clothes... you're right. Just take a step inside any big clothes store and you'll find about 15% of the available space reserved for men's clothing. The rest is women's and children's clothing. Maybe we men are more practical with clothing, look at it more from a purely functional point of view. A jacket or a sweater is supposed to keep you warm. I still have to see the first turtle neck sweater without sleeves for men. It defies logic.

I think women buy clothes primarily for themselves, because it makes them feel good. But of course the attraction factor is a reality. They know that and so do we.

As for boobs, we could write a 20 volumne essay on the subject and only begin to understand their importance.

At least they do in our society, where they are covered most of the time. I wonder if in certain tribal cultures, where women are half-naked all of the time (only covering their waist), boobs would have an erotic connotation at all.

Women will cover their boobs in most situations, unless they are with their partner in a private setting, or sunbathe topless in those countries where it is allowed to do so. I would describe both of these situations as erotic, not sexual. Sexual thoughts happens in our brain. They happen during foreplay and sexual intercourse.

I'd say wide hips and larger breasts were and are of importance as a sign of fertility. It has been so since man's presence on earth, going back many thousands of years. It may well be that, instinctively, we still think that way.

As for porn, I think that the way it is generally portrayed, with men dominating and women in a submissive role, might not be as appealing and arousing for women as it can be for us. Can be, because there's certain porn I'd rather not watch.

But let's not forget the attractive legs we all seem to like.

You're also 100% correct. Humans in general aren't really logical after a certain point.

Most non-human animals just sort of do what they need to survive and exactly nothing more.

But as humans, once our basic biological needs like food and water are met, we seek out more stuff that aren't 100% necessary for our survival. Just because they are fun. And humans are often driven by emotions and innate desires. So a lot of things about us may not make logical sense.

Even a lot of (both spoken and unspoken) societal norms are more about just what's considered normal and acceptable rather than something that is beneficial or makes perfect sense.
