Sure. If I have to pee when I'm in the shower, I let it rip. The drain is connected to the same septic system as my toilets. Think of the other grit and grime that goes down that drain when showering.
Plus, urine is sterile. It's not filthy like poop.
I piss on the drain, not on the walls, so it all gets washed down.
And I wash my legs and feet when I'm showering, so everything gets washed off.

So why hold it when you're in the shower? It saves water from flushing a toilet.

I live in a rural area and my yard isn't visible to neighbors, so I often pee in the yard, too. The added nitrogen is good for plants.
I often peed in the ocean when surfing. I've peed in lakes and streams when swimming.

I have not done that while showering / after showering and I think it would be gross HOWEVER I’m willing to meet this person halfway by saying I have thought about doing it to figure out the mechanics?

I can't speak for the women but as a guy, it's really just a game of aim and shoot (unless you're one of those people who don't mind it getting all over you). You're already under running water, most probably already all soaped up, so it's just much more convenient. The only time I'd use the toilet before showering is if I have to take a shit first

I don't do it, but I don't think it's disgusting.

Think of the times when you have showered after a day at the beach or after working or playing outside.

You have collected more than your share of dirt, mud and who knows what else on your skin or in your hair. You have probably washed far less sterile things out of your body and down the drain than faeces, urine, blood, sweat, snot, earwax, saliva and genital fluids.
