Am I reading too much into this?

Okay so, last week me and my friend talked to my crush for the first time at a college charity event, when we needed to go home, i was supposed to go home on the same subway as him but I took another one, with a longer road, because I was worried I'd be awkward if it was just the two of us for twenty minute straight.

This Friday, I noticed we shared a class but I was too shy to talk to him and pretended I didn't see him but we took the exact same subway on this day.
Today, I went to the same charity event where he was there again and while he greeted me we didn't really talk together, it was mostly him and close friends of his and me and he talked to them.

However, when we were about to go home, I decided to take another subway as him yet again but before we all went in the opposite direction he said "are you all sure nobody takes the same subway as me?"
And I find it super weird, like he knows his friends and where they go home and he knows nobody was about to go in the same subway as him.
Did he catch on that I was going on another road than my usual or was it just a casual question for everyone?
And why did he ask that if he didn't really talk to me that day?

Okay girl, I think you might be onto something here! A few signs make it seem like he was def paying attention to you:

- He remembered you took a different sub last week even though you barely chatted

- Asking specifically if anyone was on his train is weirdly pointed

- Why bring it up at all if he wasn't at least a little curious about you joining him?

Guys don't usually notice those kinda small details about someone they're not feelin at least a little bit.

My advice? Next time y'all at the station, "accidentally" end up on the same sub as him. See how he reacts up close for the whole ride.

If he keeps the conversation going and finds excuses to sit near you, boyyyyy is into you! Then you'll have the perfect time to ask for his number too ;).

Sounds like you’re looking into it too much the way a lot of women do. He said hi what does that mean. He smiled at me what does that mean. He opened the door for me what does that mean. Women tend to blow things up bigger than they are. I think this is one of those situations. I could be wrong. He could like you but not enough context to say.
