Is this really how most men view women?

My dad and I got in a huge fight today because for my whole life all he has ever done is criticize women so harshly and their appearance. He was very hard on me as a young girl and wouldn’t allow me to do anything while my brothers were allowed to do everything. He always calls women Whores and bitches and idiots. And we were watching Netflix show and the son told the dad not to call women bitches and he called the son gay so we got into a fight. But now at my age I just want to know do most men have this same mentality? And do married men really still look at other women and talk about them sexually with other men?

Thankyou for everyone’s perspective, I thought I should include my parents are not divorced, and neither are his parents. My aunt (his sister) is dying from cancer and only has a couple weeks left to live is crying because she feels at 5’6 and 120lbs she is fat and she’s worthless. I know she got these ideas from partially my dad. Thankyou again everyone I feel better

No most men that I know would never do that I do know a couple then though what it is is their women haters they got denied dates or the girl broke up with them or the girl got tired of them and cheated on them because they were assholes and those are the only guys that talk crap about women that I don't think they even like their mothers because I think that's where it started and mother and father got divorced the mother found some other dude and she was probably a wild woman and she broke up with him and went out with another dude and treated the kids wrong are bad or allowed the guy to punish the kid so they absolutely hate women

And these two guys I'm talking about they belong to motorcycle clubs very well known ones and even the women hang around clubs bike clubs get treated really really bad but it's just who these guys are they hate women because of their mother I believe whatever you did with your dad I'm glad I have a thank you for it because I don't know if your parents got divorced or what but that's probably one of the reasons why he hates women and it's sad but in the end he'll have to come back and do it again and maybe this time learn from it or change his life he has to understand it wasn't your mom's fault it was his fault for being such a dick sorry I don't mean to think I know everything but it's probably true anyway good job you should do it again what makes him think that is so right and you need to tell him that one day hey Dad just because I think something or just because I say something it doesn't mean that I'm right at that moment I'm like defending just because I think it doesn't mean that I know it

I can’t speak for all men but yes there are quite a bit of them. I think part of it is that men think women aren’t as strong as men, not only physically but mentally as well. It seems like for a lot of women it’s always something wrong. I think a lot of men think women have life so much easier than we do as men but still cry, complain that their life is so much harder. I work in the medical field, have now for the last 10 years. It seems as though there’s always drama w them, someone’s always mad at someone or someone’s feelings are hurt. I think too, not that men are better, but in modernity w a lot of women these days they’ve gotten just as bad as men. For myself as a father I was similar w my girls vs my son. I didn’t worry so much about my son because he grew up around me as far as being a man. What to look for, how to navigate throughout life as far as being safe. I think too men just have more of an instinct to protect as far as seeing dangers. Women on the other hand not so much. I’m sure some boys too, but a lot of times out in public it’s like a lot of women are just wondering around. You know how many women I’ve seen out in public that could easily be snatched up. It’s like the song girls just want to have fun. They’re just out there seems like it w no care in the world. That’s just been my experience. I’ve always said men can’t be honest w women because their feelings would get hurt. I think a lot of men would like to say things to a lot of women but don’t. Yes married men as well as men w girlfriends still look at other women. You’ll never understand this, you’re not a man. It’s not about cheating or comparing your girl to another girl. Some men still talk to other men about women’s sexually as well. I know I don’t. I’ve been w my girl for 16 years, yes I still find a lot of other women sexually attractive.

As I've gotten older I'm starting to realize it's about 50/50. Some men constantly speak negatively about women to the point it's their whole personality. The type who think women are only good for sex and nothing else. And then there are some men who are very sweet to us, have empathy and don't objectify women. The ones who acutally like being around women.

I know this because I have some married male coworkers who joke about going to bikini cafe while wife is away, joking about janitorial lady being attractive, etc. But, I don't think that is the norm.
