Sure, to an extent. But it doesn't mean that they are necessarily turned on by expensive sports cars with horsepower.

Having any car in high school is a plus because it means that a guy has the ability go places and do things.

A cool car can be any car that looks sharp and is well maintained. But an extra cool car can stand out.

Look at the number of hot babes who hang around car shows and rallies. Think of The Fast and Furious, American Graffiti, or movies about 1950s and '60s drive-in diners and hot rods.

Of course girls like stylin' it in a cool ride. And it can be exciting to drive with the top down or sun roof and windows open.

They like the status.

Having a cool car means that a guy has the resources to afford it. It shows his lifestyle and character. So a girl is flattered that she measures up to his standards.

A guy with a cool car usually knows how to work on it, which means that he has masculine capabilities.

I'm mostly talking about younger women. As people grow up, they tend to become less enamored with flashy cars.

Some guys who hit mid-life crisis buy flashy sports cars to attract young women. The women they will attract, though, are gold diggers.

It is purely a male myth and fantasy. 90% of women don't give a crap what car you drive. It is one of those delusions men love to hang onto, despite the overwhelming evidence they are talking out of their ass.
