What does it mean if a guy sings a part of a song to you?

We were doing karaoke night at a meetup group and this guy that has been talking to me a lot recently, was serenading a girl, singing Bruno Mars’s song, ‘Just the way you are;’ and he turned his head after singing ‘Girl you’re amazing;’ and looked me dead in the eyes from across the room and sang to me; just the way you are.’

Depends on the context. A guy sang "I will always love you" to me in the middle of our favorite diner once back in college... but to be fair The Bodyguard had just come out and the song was VERY popular, so I kept my cool. Some guys just like to be very demonstrative.

In your case, you're in your 30s and it could mean whatever you and the guy want it to mean. But if you're sitting here posting this instead of ASKING the guy what's up... you're wasting the little window of time where you can just openly ask him wtf is going on in a sweet and honest way...

Since it was Karaoke... also remember you guys were possibly all drinking so there's an extra factor of vulnerability he might have been willing to reveal that he won't do sober...
