What does it mean when a guy keeps making direct eye contact with you and not look away?

He looks at me regularly from across the room and lock eyes, but doesn’t turn away. I look too, because I like him, but he doesn’t smile, instead he just looks intensely and kind of serious I guess. Any clues to what he’s thinking or doing?

Yep. I have an idea. You are staring at him too. He is likely thinking the same thing that you are. "Why is this person staring at me?". That is what I would be thinking. The reason he doesn't smile is because he thinks that it is weird that you are staring at him. The more you two connect with a stare the more often you check each other to see if one another are looking at each other. The more and more that it happens... the more you are going to find him doing it as well. Just stop staring at the guy and I bet he stop too. I don't think it means a thing of him being into you or anything. Plus... if you stop staring you won't know whether he is or not. Win-win.

I did that before with one girl. I was very shy and my eyes would sometimes lock with hers. I would start to feel a weird sensation. I really, really liked her, but I was too shy to do anything.
