I fail to see what is so attractive or even healthier about the removal of pubic hair or any other hair for that matter.

You know that nature and evolution put hair on those places for very specific reasons. Those are:

    1. protection against dust
    2. protection against bacteria
    3. sunscreen
    4. body temperature regulation

Why would a normal human want to remove a natural protection? This is a a new type of fashion that did not exist in the time when humans were making decisions with their brain and not their genitals.

There is strictly no medical need whatsoever to remove any type of hair, whether it is on the arms/legs, armpits and even less on the genital area. It goes to show that people nowadays are not thinking further than their noses and just follow a trend like a herd of sheep that follows the alpha animal jumping off a cliff.

Those people that shave their body hair are the first ones to apply sunscreen to protect themselves from the sun. They remove a natural protection to replace it with a chemical one. Go figure the reasoning of our totally screwed up society.

To sum up: leave what nature gave you. It did it for a very good reason...

Human body hair is too sparse to shield you from anything. My guess is it's vestigial. Some races have little or no body hair at all. There is a fascinating theory about why human body hair is sparse to non existent. It goes that for some extended period of time, humans were actually turning into aquatic mammals and lost nearly all their hair. When some event forced them back onto land they were left with the small amount of hair you see to day. There are competing schools of thought. The "wet ape" school vs the "dry ape" school. On the fringe there are people who believe that not all humans gave up the aquatic life and that's where legends of merfolk come from.

No. Guys are meant to have chest hair. Having a lot of hair like an ape is not great, but it’s better than shaving it off entirely.

Of course there are some guys like swimmers who shave it off because of sports reasons. That’s fine.

Back in the 60s some actors shaved chest like shatner=kirk but others did not, then, but later the trend spread.

Whether removing body hair or not is up to the involved people, and maybe to be decided among partners.

I happen to know a couple, man and woman, where the man has really a lot of chest hair. His whole chest and back are nearly completely covered in black hair. Well, believe it or not, but his wife just loves him being so hairy ! She said being attracted by very hairy guys (beard, chest hair, etc.).

I guess that for many women, chest hair is somehow a sign of masculinity, and thus rather attracive. That's anyway what a few women told me.

@Melanie31 Melanie, I don't have chest hair per se, but I do have some scraggly hair around my nipples which looks goofy when it grows out, so I do shave that off. I am glad that I don't have chest or back hair as it think it would make me look like a gorilla

It is their body and their choice. I do not have any chest hair anyway, just armpit and pubic hair and some on my face

I don't have much so it wouldn't really effect me. But if you're like a werewolf yes shave it.
