Why did he go online several times, but not watch my story?

I met this guy a few weeks ago and we exchanged instagrams.

We are both quite active online, and he would always watch my stories, frequently after I posted them.

However, he suddenly stopped watching them.

I'm not sure why, because he acted the same in person and he was online several times, engaging with other posts/reposting other peoples' content.

I have yet to have an issue if someone did or didn't react to a post on social media, but then again I'm older and grew up without it.
We actually talked to the other person, just like you should call him of physically talk to him and ask him.
Then you know for sure why instead of sitting there wondering, or asking a bunch of strangers what they think.
Yes it's old school, but it works pretty well.
Just a thought.

Why do people place so much emphasis on social media likes, watches, etc?
