What does it mean if a guy texts you everyday?

He texts me very early in the morning, so I’m assuming it’s around the time he wakes up.
He usually texts me in the middle of the day or afternoon. He also texts me late at night before bed. We talk about everything from deep discussion to playful banter.
Is it possible he has feelings for me?

We can’t meet up because he lives on the other side of the world. I met him on vacation a year and a half ago, and we have been talking ever since.
