Crush ignored me today why?

I found out someone had feelings for me at work so I left a note with a heart under their door and they figured out it was me. I saw them after a while and they said "Hey" with a smile when I ran into them. Today I was walking down the hall and I unexpectedly saw him we walked right past each other and he didn't even look at me nor did he say anything. I feel so confused and hurt now. Is there a reason why he ignored me?

For future reference I’d say to always take word of mouth with a grain of salt, because despite whatever context you got through a third party, it’s still not confirmation directly from the horses mouth, and the 3rd party could be misinformed. I don’t say this to invalidate that person, especially if they’re relaying something directly told to them. However I’ve come to find that there’s always a reason why someone isn’t acting on whatever feelings they told that 3rd party they had. I think the most obvious reason here could be that you work together, even if it’s not closely or you don’t see each other often. It may even be a situation where interoffice dating is allowed and your coworkers do it all the time. Some people still just don’t want their romantic lives that closely intertwined with their jobs, and I don’t blame them.


On top of all this, I don’t think how you went about relaying your crush and how you’re handling things now is very mature. From the looks of it (since you said he figured out it was you), you anonymously slid him a note that you seemingly had no intent on addressing or taking ownership of unless he mentioned it first, and to me it’s just very high school. Like quite literally I remember doing the same thing in high school.
In any case, I think that unless you’re going to woman up and clear the air then nothing may come of the note. Right now there’s sort of an awkwardness in the air that I don’t know if he’ll address until you do.

It possible he didn't see you, or he was busy. Maybe you make him nervous, and he doesn't know how to act around you.
