Do we as men need to have higher standards with women?

No, I don't think that you need higher standards but just regular standards. Nothing more but certainly nothing less.

We are fully aware that most guys, if given the opportunity, will just misuse women and objectify/sexualize them and then discard them after use to concentrate on their next potential victim. This has been going on since the dawn of mankind (why not womankind actually?).

Since men are hunters, they are ruled by their testosterone and will not even try to master them but rather be slaves of them.

It comes as no secret that hunting for new flesh is what drives men throughout their entire life, from the start of puberty practically to their deathbeds.

Higher standards we need because most men's standards are abysmal or non existent. So higher then they are they need. I am not talking about one night stands by the way. I am talking about men in a relationship long term with women.

Still, you don't need higher standards. All you need is to be true to yourself and to your partner. Having higher standards just makes you unapproachable or difficult to reach and possibly make you look as if you you believe that you are better than others in people's minds.

You are equating having higher standards to being proud. It is not what I mean. Higher standards than the very low standards most men have is in other words having self respect. Example not always saying yes to what SHE wants.
