its natural and most people do it. you can play games against people better than you but in an actual fight where there is real danger, trying to avoid it when you won't win is natural and smart. and im not sure why you are concerned more about "white knights" and "simps" rather than the misogynistic men in your scenario which is the bigger issue

Because they can't actually do well in a fight, and they know it. Same reason white guys talk shit about Blacks when white girls go with them, but never actually say it to their face. It's not misogynistic for a Black who has what we want to give it to us, but somehow the white knights act like they are going to do something about it when they never will. A few Blacks I've been with have told me that these other guys' sexual insecurities is where things like school shooters or mass shooters come from, and it's hard to argue with that.
