What does it mean when a guy is quiet in bed?

When my guy and I are together in bed, he is very quiet. I mean quiet. No moans, groans...He does ask me if I like what he is doing and what I want him to do. He will tell me if I ask him, but I've never been with a guy who is like him. I'm a vocal person (I don't mean talking because I'm not comfortable with that, but the person does know if I like what he is doing). Is this something I should be concerned about. We have been together for about 9 months now, and I know he cares for me and likes being with me.

Yeah, I've had two long-term boyfriends I've been intimate with. One was very quiet, the other was very loud. I felt the same as you about the first one. I'm also very vocal, and I took his silence as a sign that he wasn't enjoying himself. When I asked him about it, he explained that he had a fear that any noises he released would sound stupid and be a turn-off, so he kept quiet. He would dirty talk, but not moan or grunt or anything like that. There are a lot of girls who are also silent types, just depends on the person. But don't take it personally. Oh I hear you! I totally know a guy like this and it's sort of odd. It makes me a little uncomfortable and I don't think he enjoyed anything I did...even though parts of him said "oh ya totally love it"! Without the noises it makes me feel strange. And it turns me on to hear a guy moan - I love knowing I'm doing something right. If me and this guy lasted I would've had to tell him. It means he's the quiet type... A lot of guys are very silent during sex. Nothing to be concerned about at all...

If you do, then the lack of talking could mean nothing wrong at all, totally normal.

I'm pretty quiet unless something isn't going right. Moaning seems forced or unnatural for me, and a bit silly, but I love it when a girl does it.

I think it's because good sex, lulls me into a kind of trance like state, and I start breathing very deeply and slowly, and my heart starts pounding and making noise interrupts the ecstasy.
